The new GovOnline online security framework
This will be the first of a range of awareness measures planned around the topic of online security within Commonwealth agencies. From March 2001, agencies will be expected to comply with a new online security framework, which amongst other things includes new requirements that agency CEOs warrant the compliance of their agencies with Commonwealth security guidelines.
This seminar will introduce the new requirements, and features speakers from NOIE, the Australian National Audit Office, the Defence Signals Directorate and the Australian Bureau of Statistics discussing the importance of online security, how to manage security as an issue within agencies, and current Commonwealth activity in the area of online security.

Changes to the Government Online survey round three
The next round of Government Online reporting is scheduled to occur between 15 and 31 March 2001. This session will provide agencies with information on changes to the Government Online survey for round three, with an overview of each section outlining where questions have been deleted or changes have occurred from rounds one and two. There will also be a demonstration on how to use the new form with an opportunity for participants to raise any questions and seek clarification on issues surrounding the reporting process.
