Technology Update Seminar

This seminar will provide an overview of the technologies and specifications developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is a chance to learn about:
- the W3C organisation and its role in leading the Web to its full potential,
- how W3C is enhancing XML and where XML technology is heading,
- the latest advances in HTML and other Web technologies, and
- the importance of accessibility and W3C's work in addressing social issues.
Dr Hoylen Sue, Technical Manager of the Australian W3C Office and a Senior Research Scientist at the Cooperative Research Centre for Enterprise Distributed Systems Technology (DSTC) will present this seminar. Dr Sue is actively involved in the research, development, application and teaching of XML and Web technologies.

Since 1994, W3C has managed and developed Web standards. It has been responsible for creating XML and other key technologies, and is developing the technology and specifications that are part of current and future applications-for the Web, the Internet and beyond.
