Resource Centre
E-government resources maintained by AGIMO include:
Achievements in e-Government
Highlights of the Australian Government's e-Government achievements.
Better Practice in e-Government
The Better Practice Programme helps ensure that government continues to be an effective and exemplary user of ICT. We provide:
-
Examples of Better Practice for information provision, service delivery and administration in a range of areas; and
-
Better Practice Checklists to help web managers, business unit owners, and others in Australian Government agencies quickly enhance their understanding of a range of issues associated with technology enabled government.
Communities of Practice
The communities of practice are for government practitioners who share a practical concern, or a passion about a specific e-government topic, and who can help each other find solutions and build expertise through interacting regularly.
e-Government Discussion Group
The e-Government email discussion group is for staff of Australian Government departments and agencies to share information, discuss ideas and seek assistance from others. Most discussion concerns strategic management and policy issues rather than technical matters
e-Government Events
A key role of AGIMO is facilitating information sharing about the effective use of new technologies by government. To optimise information sharing and facilitate government outcomes, we provide seminars, forums and other events.
Emerging Technology Fact Sheets
AGIMO examines and monitors emerging technologies, hardware, and software, and the issues and implications surrounding them for and on behalf of the Australian Government. Once a technology has been evaluated an emerging technology fact sheet is produced.
