The forum provided agencies with an update on how the Health Insurance Commission (HIC) is progressing with the development and implementation of the Medicare Smartcard and the broader role HIC is playing in supporting and delivering key components of the Government's HealthConnect agenda. The Smartcard will be a key enabler for interacting with the HIC and participating in HealthConnect initiatives more broadly.
This forum was the first Information Forum in the 2004-2005 series.
These interactive forums present current case studies and information to assist government agencies to effectively implement e-government initiatives.
